Azospirillum is a gram-negative, non-spore forming bacteria. In unfavorable conditions, such as desiccation and nutrient limitation, azospirilla can convert into enlarged cyst-like forms. It get mobility by means of flagella, it’s a facultative anaerobic bacteria. Azospirillum growth is possible between temperature 5〫C to 42〫 C, and optimum pH range is 5 to 9

Azolum, shows a good effect on Rice plants when used as seedling treatment or soil application. Application of Azolum increases number of tillers and plant height, with improvement in grain yield.
Azolum with its ability to secerete organic acids, is capable of controlling entry of sodium in palnt roots, which helps in lowering harmful effect of sodic soils on crop.
Azolum also impart SAR, Systemic acquired resistance in plants.
How to use Azolum in Rice/Paddy Crop?
1. Azolum can be used as seedling treatment. Dip seedlings required to be planted in 1 acre of land, in 100 to 200 lit water containing 500ml Azolum.
2. Or Azolum can be applied as drenching near root zone after transplanting.
3. Or Azolum can be applied in paddy field, when water level is maintained in field.
Best time to use for Rice crop is within 20 to 30 days of transplanting.
Doses
Apply 500ml Azolum per acre through drip irrigation or drenching near root zone. Can be used as a seedling dipping treatment for Rice crop.
